Warcraft III Reforged: Repainted (Cartoon Color Mod ReShade)


Fresh, new, popping cartoon colors for your favorite Warcraft 3 Reforged Race. Follow the Install Guide in the Video-Section and enjoy :-).

This mod contains changes to the basic colorsetup to improve visual claritiy with Warcraft III reforged graphics ingame. Units are easier to seperate from the landscape and overall have a more cartoonish look. Read the Installinstructions for ReShade-Filters carefully pls.

This ReShade*-Mod is:

- removing grainy texture noise, that distracts the eye.
- creating larger color contrast between landscape and units
- improving and brightening faction colors
- seperated sharplevels of landscape and units
- adding flat but also vidid colorprofile for comiclooks
- improves overall readability ingame during day and especially nighttime.


*ReShade is a free tool and easy & quick to in/uninstall. Installinstructions further below.

New Shaders since Version 4.0ea - update/reinstall ReShade for Fubax and AstryFX-Shaders.

The Modfile contains ReShade-Profiles for  FHD / WQHD and UHD-Displays. Select the correct one according to your prefered resolution ingame or the visuals might look uggly.

ReShade is a free tool to manipulate the final pixeloutput on your screen. It does not replace/alter any of your original Warcraft III Reforged game files and is save to use. Get it at https://reshade.me


***************** How to install the ReShade/Mod  ******************

1. Download ReShade  https://reshade.me  and follow the setup

2. Browse Games/Directories and select the warcraft III.exe (not the warcraft III launcher.exe)

3. Select Direct3D 10/11/12 on Windows

4.  Select as Package and download:

- AstrayFX (New since V4.0EA update your installation, if nor already installed)
- Fubax    (New since V4.0EA update your installation, if nor already installed)

- SweetFX
- ReShade Shaders by DAODAN
- FXShaders
- INSANE-Shaders,
- Color effects by PROD80
- qUINT
- LEGACY


You can also use the Warcraft 3 Repainted Profiles to make the Installer scan for the correct Shaders. Therefore put them in the War3.exe-Directory and select it from the Installer, when it asks you for an Ini-Profile. Then it will automatically install all required filters.

5. Download the Warcraft III Reforged Cartoon Color MOD-Files here on Nexusmods and place the *.INI-Files all in your Warcraft III.exe-directory (not directory with the warcraft III Launcher.exe)


***************** Performance ***************************

Mod has been tested on a Nvidia Geforce GTX 970 in 1080p. Screenshot and videos were made in low graphic quality (Textures = medium). For WQHD and UHD you need a stronger GPU-Setup to work smooth.
